These are the terms and conditions I use for any session, the details of which are catered towards each individual package dependent on price etc. When you book a session with me, you will be required to sign these T&Cs to protect us both.
Photography Services Agreement
THIS AGREEMENT is made as of (the “Effective Date”) between with a primary address of (“Client”) and Lucy Ireland Photography (“Photographer”).
1. Overview
The Client confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these terms unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Client ensures agents, publicists, managers, or representatives acting on their behalf adhere to these terms.

2. Licensing & Usage (Headshots)
Photographs are licensed for use in:
- Spotlight website and book.
- IMDb website.
- Agency/management/personal websites.
- Theatre programs, business cards, and portfolios (including personal social media).
- Film & theatre trade publications: Deadline.com, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, Backstage, Screen Daily, and The Stage.
Conditions:
- All images must be credited to “Lucy Ireland” and tagged appropriately on social media (@lucyirelandphotography).
- No third-party rights are granted. Usage beyond stated purposes requires prior permission and potential licensing fees.
- Images may not be altered without written approval, including metadata changes.
- Unauthorised use may result in legal action.
3. Definitions
(a) “Agency” and “Client” include representatives, assignees, and successors. (b) “Photographer” refers to Lucy Ireland, including her successors and assignees. (c) “Photographs,” “Images,” and “Works” encompass all photographic material provided. (d) These Terms are exclusive unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Engagement of Photographer
Services: Photographer agrees to provide photography services as described:

- “Images” include photographic material in any medium created under this agreement.
Exclusivity: Photographer is the exclusive provider unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees:
- Total Fee: (Package price)
- Additional Edits: [£10/Edit]
- Retainer: [£10] (non-refundable, credited towards the total fee).
Payment:
- Retainer due upon signing.
- Remaining balance due on (Date of shoot).
- Late payments incur a 5% monthly fee.
6. Responsibilities
Client:
- Complete required consent forms
- Avoid posting unedited photos
Photographer:
- Provide photography equipment
- Edit chosen photos selected by client
- Perform services professionally and ensure suitable shoot locations – if location is unsuitable do external circumstances or the weather, the photographer will reschedule or find an alternative location
7. Artistic Release
Style: Services align with Photographer’s portfolio style.
- Aesthetic judgment lies with the Photographer, and disagreements on style do not warrant refunds.
8. Term & Termination
Term: Agreement ends upon final payment and delivery of work.
Cancellation/Rescheduling:
- Written notice required 48 hours in advance.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability. Failure to reschedule is treated as cancellation.
- Refunds are not granted for cancellations outside the notice period.
- Lucy Ireland also reserves the right to refuse future booking requests from the client following a late cancellation.
- Cancellations that are made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee (£40).
- The Client agrees to notify the photographer at the earliest opportunity by phone & email if there is a possibility of illness or schedule conflict, so that the Photographer has the opportunity to put another client on stand-by to take the session in the case of a late cancellation, thereby avoiding the need to charge a cancellation fee.
9. Copyright & Ownership
Copyright:
- Photographer retains copyright under UK & international laws.
- Unauthorized reproduction or usage is prohibited.
Ownership:
- Title to materials remains with the Photographer.
- Images are licensed, not sold.
Usage:
- License is effective upon full payment.
- Additional use requires written agreement and may incur additional fees.
10. Client Confidentiality
- Photographer will keep all Client-provided information confidential unless required for the performance of services.
11. Indemnity
- The Client ensures all necessary permissions for reproduction of people, places, or items in photographs. The Photographer is not liable for issues arising from insufficient permissions.
12. Payment Terms
- Payments must be made in full before or on the shoot date. Late payments may incur fees under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
13. Expenses
- Alterations to the brief or additional requests may incur extra charges, subject to prior approval.
- Additional travel charges will occur if shoot is away from location that requires photographer to travel, subject to prior approval.
14. Rejection Policy
No rejection rights are granted based on style or composition unless agreed in advance.
15. Credit Requirements
Photographer must be credited as “Lucy Ireland” for all published works. Social media posts must use the tag: @lucyirelandphotography
16. Storage & Digital Data
Photographer is not liable for future data integrity. Clients should download and back up images promptly. Re-uploads or retouching older than 2 years may incur fees.
17. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by UK and international copyright laws.
18. Variations
Terms cannot be varied except by written agreement.
All photographs remain the property and copyright of Lucy Ireland and are protected under United Kingdom & International copyright laws.
